Interview with Pat Kirch of The Maine

Updated: Aug 28, 2019

The Maine seems to be a band, like fine wine, that gets better with age.

If you grew up in the pop punk scene in the early 2000's- The Maine was in your playlist or CD rotation. Going from a small sized band from AZ to creating their own festivals, headlining tours. The have album cycles that only seem to get better with every new release and the new album You Are Okay is no exception. The running joke is 'it's bold of The Maine to assume I'm okay' but this album is so much deeper than just being okay.

On their Pensacola, Fl date of their current tour for You Are Okay, I sat down with Pat Kirch to discuss inclusion. We discussed captioning, You Are Okay, mental health and how he hopes the 8123 family trickles into being inclusive in their everyday life.
